Trump Accounts offer a one-time $1,000 federal contribution for eligible children—an early investment in the life they will build.

Trump Accounts at a glance

  • Who qualifies for $1,000: U.S. citizen children born January 1, 2025–December 31, 2028, with a valid Social Security number, subject to pilot-program rules.
  • How to request it: An eligible parent or other authorized individual must make the pilot-program election using IRS Form 4547. Visit the IRS for current online instructions.
  • Built for long-term saving: Funds are invested in eligible U.S. stock-index funds. Investment values can rise or fall.
  • Different from a PA 529: This is a type of individual retirement account. Withdrawals are generally restricted until the year the child turns 18; traditional IRA tax rules generally apply afterward.

The $1,000 goes into the child’s account, not to the parent. Joining our email series does not open an account or request the contribution.

Who can receive the $100 from Keystone Scholars?

Keystone Scholars provides $100 for eligible children born on or after January 1, 2019 to Pennsylvania families, including eligible adopted children. Funds are for qualified education after high school, not cash paid to parents. Residency, account and withdrawal requirements apply. Signing up for this series does not claim the scholarship. Check official eligibility and program rules.

Is employer support guaranteed?

No. Employer participation is voluntary. Qualifying matching contributions may make the employer eligible for a Pennsylvania tax credit; the credit belongs to the employer. A payroll deduction alone is not an employer match. Review official employer information.
